Peru in 2 weeks
  • • The sandy dunes of Ica Take a swim, go sandboarding, enjoy a spectacular buggy ride and enjoy amazing sunsets on the beautiful sandy dunes of Ica. «
  • • Volcanoes and mummies We visit Arequipa, a beautiful colonial city surrounded by volcanoes. You must visit the Museum of Sanctuaries Andinos and see the wonderfully preserved mummy of a young Inca girl, Juanita, an ancient sacrifice to the volcano, preserved for centuries under layers of ice. «
  • • Nazca Lines A visit to the Nazca Lines is a must as these great designs are truly remarkable. Some represent animals, others geometric patterns and though their origins remain unknown, many theories exist. «
  • • Machu Picchu You can’t visit Peru without visiting the lost Inca city of Machu Picchu, on a plateau in the middle of rock formations. Archaeologists believe it was once a religious Inca town and it is truly breathtaking. «
  • • Floating Islands on Lake Titicaca The 300 inhabitants of the Uros live on Lake Titicaca on floating islands made of totora reeds. Their small houses are also made out of reed, as are their boats and the largest island has two-storied houses and a school. «
  • • Islas Ballestas A paradise island, where humans do not tread that is home to sea lions, penguins, cormorants and gannets «
